A Geobag (GB) is a simple cost-effective method of dewatering sludge. It uses a specialised geotextile bag to remove water from sludge, sediment, or other fine-grained materials. It’s a containment and dewatering solution commonly employed in environmental remediation, construction, and wastewater treatment.
ABCO Water’s standard Geobag dewatering systems include 2 x steel skip bins with geobags (twin-alternating configuration) and are typically used for dewatering of wastewater treatment (sewage) plant sludge. Supernatant or liquid wastewater is transferred back to the balance tank (recycled) via either the wastewater pump station or a dedicated return sump. GB systems can be either stand-alone or as part of a complete treatment system or as post treatment to other technologies.
